How To Get A Razor Edge With Household Items?

i wanted to know how to sharpen things to get a razor sharp edge, with household items ( i dont want to have to go out and buy 60 dollars worth of equipment to sharpen my knives, pencil sharpeners and scissors) so if you know how or know place were i can find out please respond. thank you for your time!
